Responsibilities - Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle databases (19c / 21c / 23ai) across production and non-production environments. - Design and administer high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions: Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and Oracle Restart. - Build and execute backup and recovery strategies using RMAN regularly test and document restore/recovery procedures. - Monitor and tune database performance — analyze AWR / ASH / ADDM reports, optimize execution plans, manage indexing and partitioning, and resolve contention and bottlenecks and locks. - Plan and execute database migrations and version upgrades, including migration to Oracle Cloud (OCI). - Automate routine operational tasks using Shell scripting, PL/SQL, and Oracle KVM. - Support development teams with query reviews, data modeling guidance, and database best practices. - Participate in the on-call rotation for critical incidents and produce root-cause analysis (RCA) reports. - Document operational standards and procedures, and mentor junior members of the team. Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field. - Minimum 5 to 7 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in production environments. - Strong command of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and ASM. - Proven, demonstrable experience in database and SQL performance tuning. - Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills. - Solid Linux / UNIX / Windows administration and shell scripting experience. - Working understanding of networking and storage as they relate to database infrastructure. - Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to critical incidents. - Professional working proficiency in English - Arabic. Preferred: - Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) certification. - Experience with Oracle GoldenGate for data replication , RAC and Oracle Dataguard . - Familiarity with other database platforms (PostgreSQL / SQL Server / MongoDB). - Exposure to DevOps practices and tooling (Ansible / Terraform / Git). - Prior experience in the [Medical / ERP / government] sector.
